Job Description : CEO NIGERIA · Team Size: 5 direct reports, 15-18 L-2 team size, overall a 250-300 member on the roll and off roll team · Reporting to: Director Strategy · Overseas Travel required (Y/ N): Yes, Frequent · Working Days: 5 days a week, though given that its a P&L role, the responsibilities may stretch · Time Spent Travelling: Moderate, 4 to 7 days a month · Geographical Area to be covered: Africa and the Middle East · Nature of Work: Corporate C Level role · Education/Qualification: Qualified CA operating in Business Management OR any MBA holder with Senior Management experience OR Any Graduate with significant exposure in the packaging sector · Overall years of Experience: 20+ years of professional experience with at least 5 years in P&L management. Prior Work experience in the African markets is mandatory. · Reason for Vacancy to Exist: Growth and Expansion · Interaction with: Chairman, Top Leadership, Functional Heads, Govt Officials, Industry Associations, Vendors, Corporates · Career Prospects: Excellent as the individual will lead the expansion to various African and Middle Eastern countries while meeting flexible packaging requirements of companies in African and European markets. The company has plans to move this individual to the United Arab Emirates after creating a successor for him in 3 to 4 years. Effectively, this position will hence be based in the United Arab Emirates after a few years · Industry Preference: Packaging, B2B Industries · Interview Process: 1st round of HR discussion (screening & clarification round for candidates) -> Meeting with a management team member/Director -> Meeting with The client Company Owner. Candidates shortlisted for discussions beyond resume review must sign a Non-Declaration clause wherein they should not disclose their interaction with the client company group even in case of non-selection for further rounds. Roles and Responsibilities: MD / CEO Priorities: · Production: a) Overseeing 5 factories and meeting production targets · Sales: a) Sales and BD b) Bringing in all the multinationals on onboard c) Driving growth from existing capacity investment · Manpower: a) Manage existing team b) Build capacity at all levels with a Nationalization focus · Finance: a) Working with finance, audit, and ERP effectively to ensure accounts are accurate and timely b) Effective working capital management · Growth: a) New business opportunities b) Geographical expansions - Africa and the Middle East MD / CEO Competencies: · 50%+ CAGR - handle fast-growth · Ability to deal with ambiguity on a day-to-day basis · Accountability, decision-making, and ownership mentality · Stakeholder management: The Company is an international investment group with a wide range of businesses across Africa. The firm can undertake large flexible packaging projects in the Middle East to export packaging products to Europe and African markets. The company is looking for an MD / CEO who can lead the company through the next level of growth. Given that this company has been growing at a CAGR of more than 75% since its inception, this individual is expected to maintain the same growth in Africa while exploring a multitude of avenues to drive its expansion in the Middle East and Europe markets. This individual will lead GMs/functional leads from SCM (logistics and procurement), Finance, HR, Sales & BD with 15 to 18 member direct reports at the L-2 level. Overall this individual will be leading a team of 250 to 300 permanent employees, local full-time and contract employees. Key Focus Areas for MD & CEO include: · Driving Growth @ min 60% CAGR YoY · People Management & Driving nationalization Africans to be recognized and put into positions of importance. · Improving ROI on capital invested · Identify Business partners & vendors for propelling expansion toward creating an efficient production system · Identify, Prospect & Onboard Customers, promote business development in new geographies, product lines, and industries · Capacity Building
