15 yearsJob Description : INTERNAL CONTROLS DIRECTOR NETHERLANDS The Director Internal Control provides leadership to the Internal Control team in a manufacturing company in the region of Den Bosch. In this position you assist in designing and implementing strategy, lead execution of risk-based internal controls plans in a highly complex international environment. The Director must ensure that the Internal Control program is executed in a timely manner, guarantying its quality and clear communication with all key stakeholders. Assignments will be varied across financial, operational, technology, projects and compliance which will give great exposure and opportunities for gaining experience and personal growth. This is a global coverage role, so the opportunity exists to periodically visit international markets. You will be the senior advisor for the C-Level on all Internal Control topics. You will design and execute strategy for Internal Control. You are responsible for preparing and implementing a risk-based audit plan to assess and make suggestions for improving the company’s key operational and finance activities and internal controls. You have a leadership role model. You will be often consulted by others for advice. You’re the manager of the Internal Control team (5 FTE). You will implement best practices and procedures focusing in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the department. You will develop and conduct adequate training and prepare related information material on the internal control objectives, approach and methodology to C-level on a regular basis to build knowledge and understanding of risks and control. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, who is able to present internal control and risk matters in an understandable way across various levels of the organization with the right level of detail. Someone who is striving for continuous improvement and optimization. Adaptable to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, and flexibility in resolving issues and addressing changing priorities. Master’s degree in accounting / finance / economics, complemented by an RA / CPA / CA 15+ years of relevant experience in accounting and reporting. Big4 experience, with background in manufacturing companies. Experience with IFRS and US GAAP.
