Job Description : Manager - Mechanical Maintenance Base location: Mutoshi (Kolwezi), Democratic Republic of the Congo The Mechanical Maintenance Manager oversees the day-to-day maintenance and repair operations of the organizations facilities, equipment, and machinery through planning, coordinating, and directing all maintenance activities to ensure machine reliability and minimize unexpected downtime. Responsibilities: · Oversee and coordinate the Maintenance sequences: Procurement, inventory management and maintenance operations · Optimize the maintenance process and ensure compliance with safety regulations, services and processes of quality standards · Design, implement and improve maintenance procedures, and develop the provisional planning of maintenance · Ensure that staff development, training programs and performance reporting are undertaken to the required schedules · Review maintenance activities reports and other data to identify potential problems related to maintenance operations · Supervise working of all panel departments and provide appropriate training to all employees to ensure optimal level of performance and provide all hiring assistance · Maintain quality of all maintenance tools and equipment, prepare appropriate budgets and reports to be submitted to management · Carry out regular inspection on all operations and facilities related to equipment maintenance to ensure on-time delivery of services, identify and resolve equipment issues and maintain compliance with all technology regulations · Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance improvement initiatives, ensuring production equipment integrity and improving safe operating practices within the area of responsibility Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress · Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters · Monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension, or renewal according to whats best for the company. · Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself. · Manage human and material resources of the department, defining and assigning maintenance targets to staff, ensuring proper planning in terms of materials and Workforce · Apply and enforce national and international technical requirements and standards · Develop and monitor the budget, particularly the tracking of expenses of his department · Ensure all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures as well as company standards · Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs · Oversee equipment stock and placing orders for new supplies when necessary · Manage relationships with contractors, service providers and internal equipment end users · Compliance and adheres to Occupational Safety, health and environmental (SHREQ) guidelines · Promote safety culture within the maintenance team Requirements: · Engineering diploma in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electromechanics or equivalent qualification · A minimum of 10 years experience in maintenance management in an industrial and mining environment · Bachelors degree in business administration, facility management, or a similar field is preferred · Willingness to integrate and adhere to Chemaf's values · Exposure to diverse multi-cultural settings a distinct advantage · Computer skills ((MS Office word, excel, outlook, internet) · Good Organizational, communication and Effective leadership skills · Attention to details and result-oriented mind · Suitable for the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work · Demonstrated passion for building relationships, coaching, and engagement through excellent communication and teamwork · Knowledge of English is a major asset for the position incumbent · Ability to identify potential issues and find solutions to them · Mastery of Computerized maintenance management system – GMAO
