Job Description : REGIONAL PROCUREMENT MANAGER THAILAND An exciting Regional Procurement Manager – Packaging (x 1 vacancy) job has just become available at one of the best FMCG in the world based in Bangkok, Thailand. Reporting directly to the director, this is a role for a Regional Packaging Procurement Manager who is expert and has proven achievements in packaging procurement category in fast-paced business In this business critical role, you will be responsible for driving regional procurement strategy in flexible packaging category. To drive and deliver productivity in the category by collaborating with cross functional team and ensure risk management plans are executed and refreshed periodically, in alignment with business and global procurement leadership. The position is an individual contributor and work partnering with global team. The salary range for this role is competitive with provident fund and medical insurance. This job opportunity is open to all nationalities who are able to be based in Bangkok, Thailand, accept a local package with provident fund and medical insurance and ready to onboard when required by the business.: Implement and manage procurement strategy for food packaging category Identify and develop suppliers for new items to support the innovation plans for the business Ensure availability of packaging materials as sales and production plan both normal and peak season Ensure timely and cost-effective support to quality and marketing initiatives Manage network of suppliers, optimal buys in line with the business requirements Build supplier capability, develop new vendors and local industry to meet growing requirements of inputs and intermediates Provide commodity trend updates, causal factors, regulatory implication, industry overview etc. to identify risks and opportunities and provide optimal sourcing and coverage recommendations to the global team Drive financial performance of the managed category Develop and align monthly buying plans with relevant stakeholders Bachelor's degree or higher in packaging engineer, science, or related field At least 10 years work experience in packaging management in FMCG business Excellent business acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management skill High level of understanding about the technical aspects of the laminate and corrugates, and experience in flexible laminate and cartons buying would be highly preferable Good analytical, interpersonal, communication and influencing skills Proven ability to lead and influence teams of professionals; vendors; clients to achieve cost effective and timely business focused solutions
