12 yearsJob Description : FINANCE MANAGER URGENTLY REQUIRED (OIL & GAS) Pacific Petroleum Ltd is a leading Importer of Bulk Petroleum Products with presence in South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Uganda & Dubai. To support our primary mandate, we seek to urgently recruit a result oriented, self-driven, positive minded & a highly motivated individual as part of our expansion strategy to fill the position of a Finance Manager to be based in Nairobi, Kenya. Main Purpose of the Job The Finance Manager will provide Leadership and manage all finance and accounting functions of the business in line with the Overall Company Strategy. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Establish, direct and manage Company’s managerial, financial and operational systems, procedures and controls to enhance shareholder value. 2. Produce accurate financial statements and reports in line with IFRS. 3. Provide leadership in identifying and implementing appropriate systems and procedures to achieve higher levels of efficiencies. 4. Drive the process of identifying and implementing appropriate cultural change initiatives to enhance business competitiveness and growth, leveraging on current and emerging business opportunities. 5. Advise the Board through the office of the General Manager on the performance of the Company and various other initiatives required to enhance efficiency and productivity of all resources as to optimize return on investment. 6. Together with team leadership provide proactive public relations and develop appropriate strategies to enhance Business’s corporate image and communications with both internal and external public. 7. Identify risks and ensure appropriate risk management strategies are in place. 8. Drive profitability of the business in a sustainable manner as relating to the responsibilities of the position. 9. Business Planning and Financial Forecasting 10. Corporate Governance and Development of Internal Controls, including Documentation, Policies, Procedures 11. Manage all local accounting: Tax compliance, Financial Statements, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Reporting. 12. Coordinate with external audit firm to provide supporting in audit, accounting and Risk Management JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Minimum of 12 years’ experience in Accounts & Finance, 5 of which must be in Senior Management. 2. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting and above. 3. Certified Accounting Professional (CPA (K), ACCA). 4. Proficiency in Financial Systems and soft-wares such as Sage, Tally, Oracle among others. 5. Experience in working in Oil & Gas Industry is preferred. 6. Analytical skills, problem-solving skills and ability to think Strategically. 7. Strong verbal and written communication skills. 8. Ability to act in a professional and ethical manner
