Project Engineer 
12 yearsJob Description : Plastic Injection Moulding Project Engineer MALAYSIA will be responsible for leading and coordinating the entire project execution, coordinate fruitful discussions among the APQP technical team members to analyse issues raised during validation and effectively establish corrective/preventive actions and validate results, ensuring the project meets the agreed deadline without compromising on quality. · Coordinate and lead the APQP team to successfully manage the project from start to finish, ensuring that the expected quality and delivery timeline are met. · Ensure that project deadlines are achieved while maintaining high quality standards and avoiding delays. · Communicate regularly with clients to understand their needs and requirements, and represent their interests throughout the project. · Maintain timely communication with customers to manage and complete key milestones such as DFM, design changes, design freeze, sample delivery, and more. Regularly update customers on project progress and promptly escalate any issues if necessary. Maintain frequent communication with customers to prevent communication gaps. · Schedule, coordinate, and monitor engineering projects using digital project filing systems that comply with IATF16949. · Facilitate productive discussions among the APQP technical team members to analyse and address issues that arise during validation, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. · Collaborate closely with tool designers and makers to guide them through the tooling design process from concept to fabrication, rectification, and validation. · Collaborate closely with the metrology team to interpret part drawing specifications and GD&T requirements, and determine the appropriate measurement methodology in alignment with customer expectations. Conduct GR&R to ensure measurements and methods meet customer standards. · Participate actively in tool/process validation with the process team and ensure timely release of validation reports with effective corrective actions. · Manage the ECN process by establishing cut off and buffer build plans, and communicating with the customer. Skillsets Requirements: · Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience · At least 12 years of experience in plastic injection moulding with NPI/project management experience · Experience in 5 core tools of IATF16949 [APQP, PPAP, FMEA,MSA & SPC] · Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure · Strong communication and interpersonal skills · Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software · Knowledge of quality and manufacturing systems, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 · Understanding of statistical process control and DOE techniques · Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T · Ability to work with multiple discipline projects · Familiar with interpretation of 2D drawings, specifications, testing & performance standards, regulations, best practices and industry standards · Project management and supervision skills · Decision making ability and leadership skills · Time management and organization skills
