Head of Technology

Job Description : HEAD OF TECHNOLOGY AUCKLAND NEW ZEALAND The Head of Technology will enhance organisational capability and build alignment between digital, technology and product strategies across the Group. The Role: The Head of Technology is responsible for overseeing the technical operations of the company, ensuring that all technology-related initiatives are aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. They will manage and build a team of technology professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies that support business growth and innovation. Build the overall capability of the team with planned organisation design – adopting a combined strategy of build, buy, and partner. Manage vendor selection process and relationships. Conduct assessment of vendor contracts. Assist with designing and delivering the company's digital, product & technology strategy. Work with external resources as needed. Assist with refreshing the IT roadmap which supports the business strategy, brand and earns Group wide commitment. Responsible for the management and coordination of the company's Tech stack, and Applications - delivery Lead the deployment of a business wide project management methodology Plan and implement technology & digital architecture and solutions which support the business operations and improve cost efficiencies and the experience for our customers. Utilise external resources as needed. Deliver agreed business plan and roadmap within annual budget (capex and opex) Who we are looking for: Strong people leadership experience in a technology team. Extensive IT experience across various IT processes. Delivery management experience is a must. Experience with managing vendors is necessary. Experience with system design, solutioning is necessary. Experience in leading a successful and innovative team, with experience in agile methodology. Possess a strong general management across digital & product disciplines Extensive project management experience within IT and software development environment especially in dealing with multiple and simultaneous projects or programmes of work
