Operations Manager

Job Description : OPERATIONS MANAGER SOUTH AMERICA If you have experience as a bilingual Operations Manager in the automotive sector and are available for Guadalajara, this vacancy is for you. You will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations at the plant, ensuring production, quality, safety, environmental and cost targets are met. The Operations Manager will also be responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of the plant. Lead and manage the daily operations of the production plant to meet production, quality, safety, environmental and cost objectives. Establish and supervise plans and programs for the control of production, maintenance, quality and safety. Promote an environment of continuous improvement focused on FMEA of molds, process optimization, FOT (First-Off-Tool), qualification of molds and transfer / start-up of molds from the production plant. Work closely with other leaders in the organization to ensure alignment and coordination of company goals and initiatives. Manage and develop a team of supervisors and direct employees, promoting a positive, safe and performance-oriented work environment. Understand, support and contribute to the Total Quality Management (TQM) initiative, MOS, MES, International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Environmental and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following established policies and procedures. Bachelor's degree in plastics engineering, manufacturing or technical field or equivalent experience. Minimum experience of 10-12 years in roles in a key connector manufacturing discipline (molding, stamping, metal plating, assembly) and People Management. Solid knowledge of production management principles and practices, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and 5S. Experience in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and in the use of tools and techniques for the analysis and solution of problems. Excellent leadership, team management and communication skills. Advanced English skills. Knowledge of the processes of design, construction and assembly of injection molds Working knowledge of optimization and principles of molding and assembly processes MP&L working knowledge Working knowledge of SPC and DOE applicable to injection molds and processes PREFERRED: Training and experience in CAD mold design of Siemens NX 3D solids.
