Job Description : VP MARKETING DELHI FOR FMCG This individual will play an integral role in creating a company-wide marketing strategy, and also driving the execution of these strategies through an aggressive and capable sales force. Brand : - Develop and execute a program to establish and enhance the companys brand. This will include: - Develop the stories that promotes the brand. Create and distribute press releases, white papers, PowerPoint presentations, and audio and video content to promote these stories through various channels. - Create and maintain good relationships with channel partners. - Maintain a strong presence in social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. - Attend or make sure management attends key industry conferences and shows. Set up speaking engagements for yourself and the management at these events Product Marketing : - Develop and drive marketing programs, including financing options, to enhance electricity usage by both households and small and medium sized businesses (SMEs). - For these markets, research what are the best productive uses of electricity to meet household or small business needs. For each use identify the appliances that best meet the performance, quality, cost, and brand requirements of the customer. Develop literature for the sales force to promote these productive uses and appliance sales. - Develop B2C electrical appliance sales campaigns to capitalize on festival season and encourage our customers to acquire modern branded appliances like LED TVs, fans, refrigerators and freezers. - Leverage strategic partnership with OEMs to build co-branded marketing and branding plan. - Identify weaknesses in existing marketing campaigns and develop pragmatic solutions within budgetary constraints. - Devise effective digital marketing plan and engagement process for rural customer base, including driving the content and functionality of the App. - Build a measurement system for determining the success of each marketing program. Measure and report performance of all campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs). Market Research: - Identify adjacent market opportunities such as powering local farmers irrigation needs, powering schools, clinics, and other consumers of electricity. - Maintain/update the companys competitive analysis of global mini-grid countries. - Develop strategies to compete with the major minigrid competitors. - Market research into global demand for minigrids with the goal to identify and prioritize which countries the company should next enter. Education: - Bachelors degree is required; electrical engineering degree preferred - MBA in Marketing is strongly preferred Relevant Experience in years: - 17+ years of total experience in Marketing (B2C) with a preference to the ones who are exposed to retail/fast moving consumer goods industry - Proven track record of innovative consumer marketing accomplishments/high impact results (based on metrics/ROI) - Good understanding of consumer insights and primary research concepts and tactics such as home use testing, focus groups, surveys, attitudinal, ethnographic and concept testing. - Passion for rural development - Experience in FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods)/telecom/MFI sector preferred Travel: - Travel to rural areas is required.
