Finance Director
15 yearsJob Description : FINANCE DIRECTOR SEA AND CHINA OUT OF SINGAPORE A newly created Finance Director, SEA and China job has been made available at a leading industrial manufacturing multinational with a strong global presence. Reporting to the VP, International, you will be responsible for directing the overall & SEA business, finance and accounting activities. You will also work closely with the Regional Managing Directors of SEA and China to drive growth. Direct activities associated with the establishment of a robust financial control and reporting environment for the region supporting the business growth objectives Develop detailed understanding of the business operations and operational requirements for regional success Work closely with Regional Managing Directors and functional managers in conducting detailed financial and business analyses to identify potential problems, determine root causes and recommend appropriate solutions Develop and maintain forecasting processes that accurately predict future performance and motivate actions to ensure delivery of agreed targets Lead financial portion of the strategic planning process, ensuring that results from initiatives are properly scoped, presented, tracked and reported Regular communication of financial performance of the SEA and China Regions to VP Finance Submission of accurate financial statements for all reporting entities in the region that are compliant with US GAAP and local GAAP Provide financial support for Business Development/M&A processes for the region To succeed in this Finance Director, SEA and China role, you need to have proven track record in business partnering and senior stakeholders management in similar industry. MBA degree and/or Chartered accountancy qualification are preferred Substantial operational experience in increasingly responsible financial leadership positions Significant international experience is required along with a strong global business perspective while functioning in a multinational organisation with multiple business units Experience in post-merger integration Experience of FP&A Experience of managing, developing and coaching a finance team Strong IT systems experience, which must include Advanced Excel user and prior use of several ERP systems Experience of US GAAP and SOX compliance Prior experience in manufacturing and service industry is preferred English and Mandarin language proficiency due to working with mandarin speaking counterparts
