Job Description : SENIOR REGIONAL ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE MANAGER MALAYSIA A world leading chemical manufacturer is recruiting for an APAC Regional Engineering Excellence, Senior Manager job specialising in CAPEX projects and engineering process design to join their team across APAC. This role is based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia and heads the implementation of standards, applications, solutions, and measurements to drive effective and optimise CAPEX projects across APAC. The role leads a team to support engineering disciplines, enabling regional growth projects and enhancing organisational engineering capabilities. The APAC Regional Engineering Excellence, Senior Manager will provide in depth knowledge of international engineering standard practices to promote a safe work environment and promote efficient project control throughout the design, construction, installation and T&C until completion. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers with diverse engineering specialisation providing expertise in larger and more complex CAPEX projects within Asia Pacific region. Collaborate with leadership to ensure compliance with engineering discipline standards, policies, procedures, and local/ regional/global/company’s regulatory requirements Manage and support the localisation of engineering deliverables in CAPEX projects Monitor and report regional performance metrics to drive effective and optimise CAPEX projects Conduct value engineering analysis and ensure quality control and assurance for engineering deliverables Identify areas for improvement, implement solutions, and communicate feedback to global teams Plan, prioritise, and coordinate engineering resources Lead and develop a team, including talent management and decision-making responsibilities The successful APAC Regional Engineering Excellence, Senior Manager has strong engineering, project management and on-site experience especially in greenfield project within the petrochemical, oil and gas, industrial chemical and/or food processing sector. You must have the ability to manage difficult and challenging situation involving dispute, disciplinary issue, authority, and unsafe act while working alongside a big group of internal and external stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience At least 10 years' relevant work experience Ability to communicate technical information effectively across different levels of technical knowledge Six years of supervisory experience Experience in food manufacturing industries would be advantageous Familiarity with the project delivery process
