Job Description : Supply Chain Manager Location: Dubai, UAE Experience in management of Supply Chain at ship repair/ marine and shore facilities. Relevant University degree/Diploma in or related degree Excellent knowledge of offshore marine Suppliers in UAE and international market both in the Middle East and overseas region. Exposure. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Supply Chain Management position with excellent leadership skills Good knowledge on logistics and storage management. Capable of independently handling various Suppliers accounts both International and Local. Experience on developing cost saving plan for the entire company purchases Technical knowledge about ship repair materials requirement such as (Mechanical Parts, Electrical Parts, Steel and all other materials that required for Ship Repair Industry) Key duties of the position includes, but not limited to the following. 1. Job Responsibility To manage the operational activities of the Supply Chain Dept by providing a clear sense of purpose and direction, promoting and developing a team working culture, using appropriate influencing skills to achieve desired objectives and results. Introduce dynamism in the supply chain management process so as to match evolving business practices to forecast the cost, availability, and suitability of supplies, conferring with Technical Operations and Projects departments at relevant stages of large projects to forestall problems with the supply of materials; ensuring the right amount of the product or service is received when it is needed. To utilize the team-buying strategy where purchasers coordinate with other departments in negotiations, may consult with Sales Dept Source good suppliers, to evaluate suppliers on multiple criteria (price, quality, service support, availability, reliability, selection, etc.) Develop knowledge of the materials being purchased, negotiates prices, terms and quality requirements; assuring that purchasers need to be very familiar with the technical aspects of the goods or services they purchase in which way workflow or production is not halted or slowed down due to wrong deliveries. Draw departmental objectives and plans, annual budget; monitors status of budget; identifies budgetary changes in patterns; planning long and short term outsourced services e.g; crane rental; secures prices on equipment and vehicles for departmental use in preparing budgets. To focus on locating the best sources for inventory and non-inventory items, maintain inventory levels in line with the agreed targets. Investigate, plan and implement strategically effective and relevant transport methods, which meet optimally the needs of Goltens Recruit as budgeted and approved, train, motivate reporting staff.
