Business Unit Head

Job Description : Business Unit Head - Power & Energy - Delhi Role Objective:-BU Head’s primary responsibility is to ensure that his business unit is meeting goals that contribute to the overall success of the company. The responsibility of the BU Head is to ensure implementation of company expansion and management strategy, do business development in the BU’s sectors, achieve successful project executions and financial targets for the sector. S/he will be instrumental in evaluating bid feasibility and subsequently approving the project budget. The BU Head will lead multiple project execution teams and will be responsible for the operational and commercial progress of the projects. S/he should maintain strong knowledge of emerging external trends in management solutions. Qualifications, Experience and Skills Requirements for BU Head (Power & Energy) · Bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering. · More Than 20 years of relevant experience in Power Sector. · At least 05 years of experience and proven track record in a senior position within a Project Management Consultancy. · Demonstrated experience in project management of Power Projects. · Familiarity with common business software, project management programs and IT systems · Strong knowledge of business management best practices. · BU Head needs to have the following skills in order to be successful: Leadership: BU Head must have strong leadership skills as s/he leads teams of professionals, so they need to be able to delegate tasks, motivate their team and hold regular meetings to check in on their progress. BU Head also need to be able to make executive decisions about the direction of projects/programs. Communication: BU Head is required to have good communication skills and s/he communicates regularly with clients, colleagues, and partners. S/he uses verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas and information. S/he also uses her/his communication skills to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and partners. Problem-solving: BU Head must have problem-solving skill with the ability to identify problems, develop solutions and evaluate the success of those solutions. S/he has to works with clients to develop strategies for overcoming challenges faced by them Strategic thinking: Strategic thinking is an important skill of the BU Head which s/he uses to develop strategies and plans for the clients. Strategic thinking also allows BU Head to develop long-term plans that help the clients to save money and increase productivity and help them achieve their goals. Teamwork: BU Head needs to be able to work with a team of other professionals to complete projects and to ensure that they can complete their goals. BU Head with strong teamwork skills can help her/his teams to communicate effectively, collaborate on ideas and complete projects/programs on time.
