Engineering Head

Job Description : ENGINERING HEAD TAIWAN An International business is looking for a Head of Engineering to lead their technology team in Taiwan, Lead the software development team by deeply engaging with technologies and overseeing critical implementations, system architecture, and product and code quality, while ensuring the use of best practices focused on platform development and leverage Work closely with product management and other departments to promptly build new products and features that align with business requirements and incorporate practical technical solutions. Communicate program progress, issue analysis, and escalations to business leaders and collaborate with the extended team and management, as well as development partners, to recommend and implement plan changes as needed Maintain the overall integrity of cloud and software architecture development by finding the perfect balance. Manage project teams and internal development partners to foster an excellent engineering organizational setup. Make determinations based on business information analysis to update or alter the schedule as required Ensure the scalability, stability, security, and performance of the systems and services, and develop, maintain, and implement staffing and hiring plans in close collaboration with PM teams, marketing, and recruiting teams Actively engage in resolving key issues that impact the team or the product, and mentor/coach team members to identify and achieve their career goals. Set performance goals and conduct performance reviews/appraisals Demonstrated leadership abilities, having led teams with 40+ members in the past Highly self-motivated and proactive, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and eager to take on new challenges Possess a strong passion for building and leading exceptional technical teams Value modern engineering practices and possess a proven track record of effectively communicating across engineering, product, and business teams Possess a solid software engineering background with extensive knowledge of Vue/Typescript, Python, Node.js, MongoDB, and familiarity with Azure architecture Proficient in building large-scale cloud systems using microservices Technically skilled, able to participate in design and architectural discussions
