15 yearsJob Description : FINANCE MANAGER IRELAND This is a brilliant opportunity to join a growing multinational company. You will report to Group's Finance Operations Manager. The function manages accounting and financial reporting for holding/parent companies. These activities are outsourced yet require careful administration and oversight by this function. This position will be accountable from beginning to end for a portfolio of renewable energy assets and businesses, and it will be anticipated that it will function similarly to a "financial controller" for those businesses. The position will also serve as a "business partner" to the Construction & Asset Management team, working closely with the departmental counterparties in charge of the same projects. It should be noted that although a sizable number of these tasks are delegated to outside accounting service providers, this job must closely supervise and oversee them. The company operates on WFH basis Mon/Fri and are office-based Tue/Wed/Thu. • Overseeing a subset of organisations' month-end close. Understanding and communicating budget variation to internal stakeholders. • Consolidating month-end revenue and quarter-end complete p&l. Comparing quarterly achievements to budget and informing internal stakeholders. • Supporting Finance Operations & Reporting Manager with Board reporting, quarterly investor reporting, and any other requirements as they arise. • Supporting the annual external audit process, including setting out instructions and timetable with parties, swiftly resolving issues, ensuring timelines are met, and quickly closing out audit queries. • Ensuring project SPVs are tax compliant by working with external tax experts in the various markets to prepare yearly financial statements and sign them off at Board level. • #2 to Finance Operations & Reporting Manager role. Take a leadership role within the team, leading certain cross-team workstreams and/or improvement initiatives as required, mentoring/supporting other members of the team. • A qualified accountant with prior experience working for a developing company. • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified with 12 years PQE. • Minimum requirement is an honours degree. • Strong stakeholder management abilities with great written and oral communication skills. • Strong proficiency working with huge datasets. • Outstanding computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Prior experience working on IT transformation projects and automation would be advantageous.
