Procurement Director

Job Description : PROCUREMENT DIRECTOR CANADA leader in their industry with manufacturing plants throughout Canada. They are looking for a procurement leader to oversee the team. Manage procurement activities for all operating divisions, ensuring processes are aligned with company objectives Identify opportunities to optimize value through the procurement process - cost savings opportunities, vendor analysis and sourcing Works collaboratively with operations team to ensure procurement requirements are met for manufacturing and transportation operations Manages requests for proposals and quotations Involved and oversight of development of policies, procedures for the team, Oversee inventory control functions in accordance with corporate objectives including slow moving and obsolete inventory management Negotiates terms of purchase including price, discounts, delivery schedule, terms & conditions Works with accounting for budget development and supports variance review Other as required Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or Operations 5+ years experience leading a Purchasing department 10+ years experience working in a Purchasing capacity Previous experience in a manufacturing environment Possession of Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation an asset Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel skillset
