Reporting directly to the Logistics Director, the LTL Manager will the responsible for smooth operations within the LTL team and will serve as the bridge in coordinating with the Sales, Operations & Costumer Services departments. This individual shall aim to maintain a strong delivery solution and seek opportunities for business development and commercial growth. The LTL Manager will also lead, guide and direct employees to include setting targets, monitoring performance, provide coaching, counselling and development. Have you previously set up LTL operations for a logistics / supply chain business in the region? Do you experience working with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) System? Do you have a very strong appreciation of the logistics routes and road restrictions across Saudi Arabia? KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Setup and implement the LTL operations within the business and be responsible for its management ensuring an efficient and effective flow of work across the team • Provide oversight and serving as the main point of contact for the LTL division of the business • Plan and monitor, using the Oracle Transportation Management platform (OTM), all scheduled tasks for pickup & delivery - ensuring they are all efficiently completed & fulfilled • Formulate and continuously develop SOP’s to benefit the freight management system of the company while ensuring that it can support the growth of the business • Develop and maintains positive working relationships with customers - demonstrating value through consistent and repeatable delivery of services and recommendations • Implement programs, methods and best practices while maintaining a customer-centric environment for the entire team • Monitor and plan routes & distances while supervising drivers and couriers to maximise vehicle utilisation ensuring the efficiency of each delivery • Developing constructive relationships while managing inquiries/special requests with key customers and suppliers, resolving any concerns and ensuring corrective actions are taken • Providing monthly budget reports upon requirements • Coordinate daily fleet requirements with relevant department managers and supervisors • Reporting of accidents and follow-up on documentation and liaise with claims department • Manage drivers/couriers and maximise vehicle utilisation • Measure route time and distance to ensure sensitive freight is delivered on time • Serve as the bridge between the Sales, Operations and Customer Service Teams and ensure smooth cross departmental functions in each division. • Knowledge of local legislations, rules and standards – making sure all executed projects are in compliance • Implement, sustain and participate in the continual improvement of the QSSE Management System (MS) at area of responsibility in accordance to the legislations, company QSSE management systems and standards, ensuring proper controls for all hazards and risks • Report incidents related to quality, Safety and Security to QSSE department on timely manner and in accordance with the incident reporting and investigation procedure. KEY INGREDIENTS • Degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a proven experience in any related field • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Logistics / Supply Chain business • Thorough knowledge of the land transport regulations, routes and restrictions across KSA • Knowledge of Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) and other Oracle-based ERP systems / Oracle e-Business • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills to advance cross-functional projects, resourcing needs, managing in chaos and resolution to issues • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with experience building strategic, and tactical plans • Currently location in Saudi Arabia due to global travel restrictions • Strong leadership, team-building and communication skills
