Head of Renewable Energy

Job Description : Head of Renewable Energy MALAYSIA to lead and orchestrate the entire renewable energy supply chain, providing integrated and comprehensive solutions for their business needs. In this job, you will report directly to the CEO. In this business critical role, you will lead the direction of the business which includes policy and strategy planning, capital structure management, strategic business development, people development, operations and quality and environmental compliance. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the development of Renewable Power Generation Projects in Malaysia and SEA Ensure compliance to quality and environmental procedures and liaise with all the related governmental authorities Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, processes to ensure that the operations meet the financial budgets Monitor the capital structure to plan for future operations plan Effectively manage internal and external stakeholder relationships while overseeing investment and JV partners Support the Renewables Energy business segment in whichever duties and responsibilities assigned related with the development of Local and Intentional Projects related with Power Generation and Transmission Follow up with selected partners the detail engineering phase ensuring compliance with Technical Specifications and relevant legal requirements of the Renewable Generation Projects Drive the management of business development activities to grow in existing markets and to expand into new market segments by introducing new products Measure and monitor actual sales versus sales plan and sales targets to drive appropriate action plans Oversee the development of the organisation structure, establish systems to review executive performance and ensure the availability of adequate training & development systems Lead and manage operations, finance, sales, quality, administration and human resources departments to ensure that these functions are fully integrated and consistent with the overall business plan To be successful in this role, you must have a proven track record in managing a concessionary company handling governmental projects. Key Requirements: qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or relevant field of study At least 18 years in the engineering sector, with a background in renewable energy (desirable) Prior experience handling Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) contractors is ideal Prior experience overseeing the design and construction stages of large scale solar power plant projects Proven track record in managing multiple stakeholders (statutory authorities, local government, prosecutor, police, local community, press etc.) is a plus Possess strong business acumen, influential, operations process driven and focused on driving operations excellence Able to resolve conflicts, visionary and possess the foresight to plan ahead for the business Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
