Job Description : FINANCE DIRECTOR MALAYSIA Reporting to the CEO, this role works closely with senior management to increase the company’s efficiency and profitability by assisting with the formulation of both the medium and long-term financial plan. JOB SCOPE · Responsible for preparation of Rolling Forecast, Management Report and Budget, developing templates if needed · Oversee delivery of the Project Finance Sheet and determine the financial viability of any project · Interface with the board and investors, leading board presentations and other updates · Working with external consultants, ensure all Audit, Tax returns and other compliance requirements are met, across all 5 jurisdictions that Nova is present in · Managing and leading activities and reviews of corporate tax structure and company secretarial functions · Negotiate and manage credit lines with financial institutions · Designing and implementing internal controls to safeguard company assets REQUIREMENTS Qualifications · Chartered Accountant · Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent · Experience in Manufacturing · 10 years+ relevant experience in Finance, with at least 5 years in a similar position Key Competencies · Native or fluent in English, knowledge of Vietnamese is a plus · Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) · Experience of managing diverse teams, establishing processes and reporting systems · Excels in a fast-paced, high growth and rapidly changing environment · Comfortable with ambiguity - Nova a fast-growing business and there's always grey areas, which is part of the fun. You should be comfortable with it and understand not everything is 100% defined all the time · Strong team building and leadership qualities; manage and scale Nova’s finance team, recruit and retain top talent, build consensus and mobilise members to achieve goals · Extremely results-driven and execution-focused, motivated and entrepreneurial; ability to own outcomes and make things happen with a strong sense of urgency · Can be hands-on if required and can keep track of operational issues, small or large, and prioritise independently · Hands-on experience with finance & accounting software, including experience of managing financial admin staff · Strong knowledge of Accounting principles
