Chief Executive Officer

Job Description : CEO OMAN one of the well-established conglomerates in Oman who are into multiple business are looking for a Chief Executive Officer to head their Retail and Trading division. They are one of the best preferred trading and business partners for many leading global Kitchenware, home appliances, fashion brands due to their massive infrastructure, extensive distribution network and effective supply chain. Reporting to the Chairman. Location : Muscat, Oman Work with the BOD to articulate vision for the company and develop strategies to ensure the business operates profitably and achieves its goals. Drive business growth and supervise and control the company's strategic intent and direction. To thrive in this role, must be a prudent manager and an inspiring leader and have a business mindset and can see & communicate the “big picture”. The main purpose of this role is to drive profitability through effective management while setting priorities that will ensure long-term business success as well as achieving short-term goals. Lead and motivate subordinates to advance employee engagement and develop a high-performing managerial team. Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission. Make high-quality decisions to advance the business and increase profits. Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company’s legality and business ethics. Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements. Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for shareholders. Analyses problematic situations and occurrences and provides solutions to ensure company survival and growth. Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry and seek further opportunities for business development for the company. Proven experience as CEO, or in other Senior Management position working in the same or a related industry [retail]. Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing the business vision. Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles. Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance etc. In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practice. An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills. Analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and business acumen. Excellent communication and public speaking skills. Degree, MSc/MA in Business Administration, or related area 10+ years within the Retail Industry. Strong interpersonal skills. Service-oriented, and a collaborative influence style. Decision making authority and measurable P&L impact in prior roles. Experience managing a diverse portfolio of responsibilities. Strong company operations experience. The ability to lead, establish, build, and maintain a superior professional staff and work well with subordinates, senior executives, and investors. A reputation as a strong leader with the passion for setting clear, measurable objectives, delegating responsibility, recognizing outstanding performance, and correcting sub-par performance. Experience with knowledge of all state and local law. Substantial general management experience; an expert in leading and inspiring sizeable teams, preferably within a fast-paced, ethically oriented, environment.
