Project Manager

Job Description : roject Manager (Engineering) Job Summary: The Project Manager, Engineering will Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day Production and Engineering project activities in compliance with HSSE and ISO 9001 standards. The function is to manage Engineering projects for our organization and our three SBUs. Job Responsibilities: ·Plan, coordinate and execute plant TAM with emphasis on equipment economic life and timely replacement · Regular progress report and recommendations to management on matters relating to projects. · Oversee all technical aspects and maintain technical alignment with key stakeholders. · Manage project development timeliness across the group. ·Perform risk management analysis to reduce project risks. ·Lead the initiation and planning of a project and ensure technical feasibility. ·Coordinate with internal and external parties for the flawless execution of projects. ·Develop a detailed plan to monitor and track the progress of the project. ·Determine and make provisions for resources needed (equipment, manpower, materials) with attention to budget constraints. ·Maintain effective and comprehensive electronic & paper filing systems to ensure efficient flow of correspondence and documentation. ·Ensure the implementation of ISO Systems Standards: QMS, FSMS, FSSC, OHSAS, EMS, EnMS. ·Accountable for compliance with Engineering safety standards and Budget proposition and control. Job requirements: ·Degree in Engineering or related discipline with MBA or master’s degree (specializing in Engineering) and(PMP) or PRINCE2Certification. ·Min of 15 years’ exp. especially within Sugar Refinery or Cane Sugar Factory. ·Membership of professional bodies, e.g., Nigerian Society of Engineers, COREN etc. will be an advantage. ·Interpersonal relationships, discretion, and confidentiality ·Knowledge of best practice; Project Management. ·Experience of using Microsoft Projects ·Ability to influence stakeholders positively in driving results and cost savings. ·Experience in implementing Technical/Production projects. ·Excellent IT skills:PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer ·Teamwork & People Management- Ability to build and develop relationships at all levels and able to resolve conflict. ·Self-directed, resourceful, and creative ·Analytical & Accountability Skills ·Communication & Presentation skills. ·Commercial Awareness ·Customer Focus ·Planning and Organizing ·Compliance- Ability to audit and monitor quality of outputs ensuring the highest level of performance. ·Flexibility to work at multiple locations, and travel ·Knowledge and experience of introducing new ideas to improve Engineering project quality, accountability, and delivery(TAT).
