Project Director

Job Description : Project Director - Green Fertilizer Plants – MADRID SPAIN We are seeking a committed and proactive Project Director with 15+ years of experience in complex industrial EPC project management. You will be leading the Owner’s Engineering team during the execution of one of high-scale green fertilizer plants. Reporting to the Operations Director, his/her responsibilities: • Oversee the execution of FEED and EPC stages based on the established Corporate guidelines and strategies, in collaboration with Contractors and Subcontractors. • Manage the relationship with Engineering / EPC Contractor based on a integrated team approach. Solve technical / execution issues seeking for continuous CAPEX / OPEX improvement. • Implement the Minimum Technical Solution corporate philosophy in the day-by-day execution • Coordinate the Owner’s technical team, assure proper document approval workflow removing roadblocks and timely escalating decisions to the Chief Project Officer whenever needed • Coordinate with Financial, Commercial and Operation teams within the organization Qualifications: Master degree in Mechanical, Civil or Chemical Engineering or a related field. PMP is preferred. Fluent in English. 15+ years of experience in Project execution and 7+ in Project Management positions. Familiar with project control tools and methodologies (budgeting and cost control, planning and progress control, risk management). Leadership skills. Ability to create a positive team spirit leveraging the high skills available in the team. Understanding of the main technical drivers of cost and schedule of an Industrial Plant. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide practical solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment. Proven track record of successful project execution in leading positions, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Potentially relocate to Site during construction stage.
