15 yearsJob Description : AUTO HEAD OF PRODUCT **Product Management experience in the Automotive Industry is a must, from Manufacturer / Head Quarters / Regional Head Quarters (Distributor background is a plus) **Preferably Arabic speaker The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of product pricing, planning and development to ensure introduction of the right product at the right time, enhancing product and price competitiveness, profitability & brand in the MEA region. Responsibilities Product Support, advice and provide guidelines for distributors in regards of business communications. Review mid-long term product plan (12 – 48 months out) and Powertrain operational plan by model. Recommend new models and request R&D to develop required functions needed in the region. Building & developing product proposal in a timely manner Building cross-car line strategy (New tech, Design, Mobility, Electrification, Connectivity, Autonomous…etc.) Review and recommend SE (Special Edition) models by considering model lifecycle stages. Set optimal features strategy including feature adjustment. Propose / advice features pack per model and provide support on OCN creations. Support, recommend & follow up PIO AV/AVN development for non-OEM markets. Support pilot vehicle introduction for distributors, in addition to managing local trim/price strategies to maximize M/Share and profit. Pricing Provide distributors with clear and consistent pricing and price build up policies. Define & ensure optimal price positioning across markets through market analysis and identifying cost efficiencies. New model price proposal based on the market trend, competitor’s pricing, taxation, duty structures and market requirements. Provide all distributors and market managers of final FOB and option FOB of New, FMC and F/L models. Understand and provide explanation regarding new FOB changes such as added new features, MY change, market specific changes. Monitor, analyze & evaluate Price Structure + value adjusted Price Competitiveness for major markets. Timely implementation of agreed pricing measures Market Analysis Support Product Management with regards to regional and individual markets product requirements. Analyzing & advising on product performance. Monitor and review market response on new products to discover points to be enhanced. Track changes in the market and report immediate actions where required through market sensing, attending major motor shows…etc. Handle, organize product and marketing related events and training (PSC, Launch Committee...etc.) Competitors tracking and analysis (Design, New features, PT/PE, Dimensions, Prices...etc.). Homologation & Regulation Verify, review and collect homologations procedures & updated regulations from the region. Build action plan across model line-up to meet updated regulation. Update & communicate with HQ regarding the implementation of specific market regulation and propose solutions (MY change, F/L, FMC). Others Handle and follow up distributors various requests on product. Translation & proof reading of various materials from (HQ, R&D, Factory). Review Model Year plan and request to apply certain MY to meet regulation or to secure competitiveness. Act as a source of product knowledge internally & externally for all relevant product and pricing matters. From time to time, the incumbent’s supervisor/manager may assign additional unlisted duties/responsibilities on a temporary or regularly basis depending on the business needs. Languages English Arabic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or any related field At least 15 years of Automotive experience in product / pricing / engineering specializing in Product Management Excellent command of Product Development, Product Management Concepts, Process & Best Practices Excellent understanding of the automotive industry and market Strong creative and analytical skills Excellent communication skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics
