Job Description : FERTILIZER PLANT HEAD NIGERIA 20+ years exp Knowledge of Urea PlantRoles and Responsibilities To organize, direct and supervise production activities and all related processes in Urea Plants in order to achieve budgeted production target / consumptions, on stream hours, product yield, energy optimize resource / energy consumptions & cost of productions and ensure high quality Urea while adhering to statutory / organizational compliances, and HSEF standards Monitor and lead production activities & processes during normal operation. Lead the team during Plant Emergency as Incident Controller & provide guidance for major trouble shooting. Hold meetings with the team to set objectives and schedules Prepare annual budget and forecast budget requirements for all production activities including OPEX and CAPEX proposals, ensure Implementation of approved CAPEX and adherence to the approved budget. Supervise use of funds, address issues and concern, conduct assessment, evaluations and development to meet production targets. Ensure that all operations are carried out according to laid down SOPs and emergency handling procedures to maintain safety and quality all the time. Ensure periodical checking of PSV, CSO/CSC valves, etc. and also statutory inspection of Pressure vessels as per the company Standards and procedures. Ensure updating of operational SOPs and safety information for all processes, plant and machinery, chemicals used and ensure communications to all concerned persons. Monitor adherence to the established SOPs. Interacting with inter discipline HODs to carryout major jobs/activities and co-ordination. Explore and identify new opportunities / projects which can be a value addition to the organization. Coordinate with the Technical Services And Engineering teams for implementation of the projects. Identify process improvement initiatives, plan and implement the identified initiatives to optimize production cost, quality, energy Optimization and capacity utilization Implementing the quality system in the section. Identify root cause analysis for in-house quality problems in co-ordination with process and other service departments. Review daily, weekly and monthly production MIS reports to match actual performance vis--vis the targets and identify action steps to minimize variance. Share and discuss the reports with Sr. Management Team for review & direction. Develop process and quality control mechanisms and ensure compliance for addressing customer complaints in coordination with the Quality Head. Monitor overall smooth and safe working conditions and operations of the plant. Analyze incidents or suggestions on safety shared by the team members and oversee implementation of corrective actions for improving plant safety. Maintain industrial harmony; ensure teams adherence to maintenance and shutdown activities keeping in mind the safety protocols Enforce and ensure compliance to Occupational Health, Safety, Environment & Fire prevention practices and procedures as laid down in the Company HSEF Policy and procedures. Ensure proper upkeep of the plant at all times. Drive, review & enforce involvement of team members in BSC activities, Continual improvement of Productivity, Quality, Safety and Compliance to FAR & various audits (both internal and external) recommendations. Ensuring the upkeeping of plant historical data for analyzing plant and equipment performance like reactors, exchangers, compressors, pumps, etc. Motivate Team to improve productivity, employee engagement and build a culture of high performance and meritocracy by recommending promotions for right candidates, and implementing an effective, fair and transparent talent management system. Training, counselling & development of the operating crew through TNI (Training Need Identification). VITAL KNOWLEDGE: (TECHNICAL & NON-TECHNICAL) Knowledge of Urea Plant. Knowledge of Management systems for Quality, Safety, Environment, Fire systems. Knowledge of company vision, mission & value systems
