Maintenance Manager

Job Description : MAINTENANCE MANAGER MINING FOR WEST AFRICAN REGION Project Global Mining is looking for a Mobile Maintenance Manager to be based in West Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, organizing, and supervising all preventive and corrective maintenance activities on the mobile fleet, including excavators, trucks, and auxiliary equipment. Maintenance Management: Planning, organizing, and supervising all preventive and corrective maintenance activities on the mobile fleet, including excavators, trucks, and auxiliary equipment. • Resource Management: Managing and coordinating the mobile maintenance technicians, including task allocation, schedule management, and providing ongoing training. • Preventive Maintenance: Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime and optimize equipment availability. Conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with maintenance requirements. • Corrective Maintenance: Responding to equipment breakdowns and failures in a prompt and efficient manner. Working directly with the maintenance team to diagnose issues, coordinate repairs, and perform necessary maintenance tasks. • Inventory and Spare Parts Management: Supervising spare parts inventory management, including tracking stock levels, placing orders, and cost optimization. Ensuring appropriate spare parts are available for maintenance work. • Reporting and Monitoring: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, completed repairs, associated costs, and equipment usage data. Preparing regular reports on the performance of the mobile fleet and presenting improvement recommendations. • Safety: Promoting a safety culture within the maintenance team and ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with established safety standards Strong technical knowledge of mining equipment maintenance, especially Caterpillar and Liebherr equipment. • Hands-on experience as a maintenance technician or maintenance manager, with the ability to be directly involved in maintenance activities. • Ability to manage and lead a team of mobile maintenance technicians. • Excellent planning, organizational, and coordination skills. • Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance principles. • Problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly and efficiently address equipment failures. • Strong communication and reporting skills. • Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the mining industry.
