Job Description : Manager Quality Control (Packaging Components) KENYA The role would involve overseeing and managing the quality control processes related to packaging materials and components used in various products. Here are some key responsibilities and tasks you might be responsible for: * Quality Control Processes: Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards for packaging components. This includes establishing inspection methods, sampling plans, and testing protocols. * Component Inspection: Conduct inspections of packaging components to ensure they meet the defined quality standards. This may involve visual inspections, dimensional measurements, functional testing, and other relevant tests. * Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspection results, testing data, and quality control activities. Generate reports summarizing findings, trends, and any non-conformities. Communicate results to relevant stakeholders and recommend corrective actions when necessary. * Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality requirements for packaging components. Conduct audits or assessments to evaluate supplier capabilities and adherence to quality standards. Work with suppliers to address any quality issues and drive continuous improvement. * Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and analyze quality issues or non-conformities related to packaging components. Identify the root causes of problems and implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid their reoccurrence. * Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards for packaging components. Stay updated on the changes in regulations and have knowledge of any necessary adjustments to maintain compliance. * Team Management: Provide guidance and support to the quality control team. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training to ensure the team's competence in conducting inspections and tests. * Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and evaluate quality control processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. * Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as production, supply chain, and product development, to address quality-related issues and provide input on packaging component selection and design. * Quality Audits: Coordinate and participate in internal and external quality audits to assess compliance with quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
