Logistics Head

Job Description : HEAD OF COMMERCIAL LOGISTICS VIETNAM A global logistics company is looking for talented Head of Commercial Logistics to join their team. The role will build and grow a customer portfolio in targeted industry verticals that will drive value through the supply chain while having a deep understanding of customer needs and existing networks. Lead and manage the team to build and grow solutions with profitable revenue streams for the business. Lead and manage the commercial function that includes, industry SME’s key accounts, sales, marketing, tendering and contracts Lead the team to grow the business, ensuring a sizeable pipeline and high closing ratio is created Develop effective, long-term solutions for targeted customers Build and drive collaborative and trusting relationships with key influencers within the customer organisation Manage, develop and deliver the financial plans in line with budget. Build, control and maintain a customer pipeline in the appropriate industry verticals and effectively build the customer portfolio in line with the strategic plans. Work collaboratively with cross functional teams creating transformational solutions delivering unique competitive advantages. Develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships. Commit to compliance with applicable HSSE requirement in the responsible fields / department. Allocate adequate resources to eliminate / reduce identified HSSE risks to as low as reasonably practicable and supervise the HSSE enforcement to get the desire result. Influence critical HSSE behaviour expectations by demonstrating role-model in the responsible field / department. Deliver HSSE KPIs cascaded to the responsible field / department. To succeed in this role, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior manager, across borders and internal matrix. Appropriate qualifications preferably in Business and Commerce or related field Extensive experience and knowledge in freight forwarding or traditional end to end supply chain Minimum 10 years’ experience in freight forwarding businesses which include commercial, sales, operations, sales, ocean freight procurement and forwarding Knowledge of shipping line operations including trades, VSA and intricate understanding of BCO supply chain with experience in contracts preferred Strong commercial, key account management and sales in global freight forwarding company and extensive network in the industry Significant experience in strategic business planning and project management of complex supply chain operations required
