Deputy General Manager

Job Description : DGM R & D EDIBLE OIL FOR EXPATS OUT OF MALAYSIA Reporting to the Country Head - R&D, the major roles and responsibilities of the position are: • Maintaining Safety in Oils & Fats R&D function • Leading a diverse team of oils & fats innovation with regard to product developments, renovating existing products, scale-up, cost-effectiveness, etc • Liaising with Business, marketing, sales, legal and senior management on innovation pipeline creation, innovation management, new product development & delivery, regulatory, operations, etc • Ensuring the safety and quality of products and in maintaining compliance with all food laws • Liaising with customers to identify new business opportunities and product developments • Providing technical service in terms of training to employees, specifications, vendor development, etc. • Collaborating with global research teams on innovation and technical matters An ideal candidate is an engineer with 15+ years of experience in the core R&D domain in the edible oil industry. They should have in-depth knowledge of food safety, regulations, and compliance. They should possess market visibility and would have worked on product innovation. They should have an understanding of oil and fat chemistry, processing technology, formulation, and food chemistry. They should have experience in handling a team and should possess clear and concise communication skills.
