Operations Head

Job Description : OPERATIONS HEAD KENYA · Plan, direct and coordinate the operations of coated steel plant. · Ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of coated steel business. · Organize operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies for performance improvement. · Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of Pickling, Cold Rolling Mill, Metal Coating Line, Colour Coating Line and Roofing units. · Review financial statements and data. Utilize financial data to improve profitability. Prepare and control operational budgets. Control inventory. Plan effective strategies for the financial well-being of the coil plant. · Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals. Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output. Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures. · Plan the use of human resources. Organize recruitment and placement of required staff. Establish organizational structures. Delegate tasks and accountabilities. Establish work schedules. Supervise staff. Monitor and evaluate performance. · Coordinate and monitor the work of various departments involved in production, warehousing and distribution of goods. Monitor performance and implement improvements. Ensure quality of products. Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity. Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery. Provide technical support where necessary. · Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of support services such as IT, HR, Accounts and Finance. Facilitate coordination and communication between support functions. · Liaison with top management. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans. · He has to ensure that all the production & maintenance systems follow the guidelines as governed by the SAP process. · To ensure that SAP compliance is monitored and improved. Qualifications required: · B.Tech/BE (Any Branch) is a must · Additionally, MBA in Operations/Marketing/Finance will be preferred Experience required: · Minimum 20 Years in Flat Products. · Specific to Position: Minimum 7 Years. · In Steel Manufacturing Industry (Flat Steel Products) Computer literacy: · SAP (Compulsory) · All MS Office Packages. Salary range: · US$ 120,000 to 140,000 / Annum + Bonus (20% of Guaranteed Package)
