Commercial Finance Head

Job Description : HEAD OF COMMERCIAL FINANCE MALAYSIA An exciting SEA Head of Commercial Finance job has just become available at one of the most well-established multinational organisations in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be managing end-to-end commercial finance operations and being involved in contract support for clients. About the SEA Head of Commercial Finance Role: This position is responsible for developing high-level business planning, help shape the strategy to make value-based decisions towards sustaining profitable growth. You will drive the development of the commercial strategies, governance, and the execution of operational plans to achieve strategic goals. You will look after all aspects of commercial decision making, financial performance and reporting, financial control, contractual negotiations, and discussions as well as leading a team Key Responsibilities: Oversee commercial accounting leads and provide leadership on commercial project accounting Conduct insightful financial analysis to key internal stakeholders to understand business performance on SEA and office levels. This includes report for monthly executive business meetings Run weekly reporting on business updates, backlog reporting, billability to leadership and the regional office Manage regular/ad hoc reporting requirements from the regional office and ensure timely submission Manage month-end and year-end closing activities relating to commercial finance Oversee time and billing, invoicing, and contracting status reporting Support our investment/business development committee chair to set up framework to facilitate approval for investment request (investments, discounts, budget overrun, etc.), investment process and key account planning Provide guidance to Commercial team member who is leading the initiatives to drive down DSO of SEA relating to WIP and AR Manage bi-weekly reporting to SEA partners on status of contracts, WIP and AR reports Manage DSO dashboard reporting to the region Build up commercial negotiation know-how and capabilities Support requests for proposal, pricing, and risk management activities Work with Legal and Commercial Director to support consulting team on structuring the contract to improve DSO and price realisation including large and complex deal - VBPs Negotiate with clients if the need arises Coordinate the implementation of negotiated contracts with legal and finance Lead new initiatives and initiate process improvement in line with the global finance transformation agenda To succeed in this SEA Head of Commercial Finance role, you need to be experienced in a fast-moving environment of a leading market player, as well as in a professional consulting business. You will need to demonstrate strong managerial skill and commercial sense to deal with demanding stakeholders and provide guidance on commercial finance. Key Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information System A minimum of 15 years of work experience in an equivalent position and international organisation A minimum of five years of IT service delivery experience Experience in IT management Experience in infrastructure and applications management Experience in data warehousing, architecture, and networking Knowledge of cloud platforms and technologies Experience in the implementation of business operations platforms (ERP, CRM, WMS, etc.) Excellent written and verbal English skills Readiness to travel locally and overseas Leadership skills Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Effective planning, analytical and implementation skills Goal-oriented, dynamic, and high sense of responsibility
