Quality Director

Job Description : QUALITY DIRECTOR SPAIN Important industrial group focused on the design, manufacture and assembly of large metal structures and cast components for the renewable energy sector, with a national and international presence and with an ambitious expansion plan for the coming years, seeks to hire a Quality Director . His main task will be to lead, coordinate and direct a team of quality professionals and activities related to Product quality management, as well as certification activities and audits associated with the Quality Department. Ensure the quality of manufactured products, as well as satisfy the needs of interested parties regarding Product Quality. Lead, coordinate and direct the people and activities related to Product quality management, as well as certification activities and audits associated with the Quality Department. The team is made up of around 30 professionals (Quality Engineers, Quality Inspectors, Quality Administrators, Management System). MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and manage the plant quality team; Engineers, Quality Inspectors and Administrative Department. Manage the processes associated with the Quality area. Definition of objectives, monitoring and continuous improvement. Review the client's requirements and plan and establish the appropriate processes and means for their fulfillment. Work with the rest of the departments to establish the quality requirements of the products and processes. Ensure that manufacturing or production processes comply with international and national standards. Ensure product quality in all phases of the process. Validate the product in its main stages (boilermaking, painting and assembly). Lead customer audits and inspections at the plant, as well as those associated with Subcontracting of the Department. Collaborate in compliance and assurance of Certifications. Ensure compliance, registration and traceability of all documentation associated with the Department. Manage non-conformities detected in the area: product, processes, services, etc. Manage the assurance of the calibration of the measurement equipment of the Quality Department. Ensure the continuous improvement of the area using the most relevant associated tools (MPP, ITP, AMFE, Control Plans, SPC, Audits, NCR, 8D; etc). TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: higher engineering 15 years of experience as Quality Manager Team management experience Demonstrable experience in Operational Quality (Product, Process, System) and quality tools (APQP, AMFE, Control Plans, MSA, 8D, Audits) Knowledge of ISO 3834-2 and EN 1090-1, 2 standards ISO 9001 training
