National Sales Manager

Reporting to the Country Manager, this is a role for a sales leader who thrives on exceeding targets and developing people. In this business critical role, you will lead, organise and control the selling and distribution network activities in Singapore. Lead and manage distributor and its assigned sales and operation team to drive business growth via perfect store execution and distribution expansion Work closely with the Trade Marketing Manager to ensure effective execution of the local promotion activities Grow the business by developing and implementing sales strategies and business plans for the assigned market Closely monitor and achieve assigned market share, sales budgets (in-market sales, shipment sales, GSV, NSV and GP) and manage assigned trade promotional (FGA) and local A&P funds Manage assigned distributor’s account receivables (AR) and manage trade spending (FGA) with allocated budget effectively Work with the supply chain team on volume forecast and ensure its accuracy for reliable delivery of assigned sales target Maintain close collaboration with brand/marketing team to ensure effective execution of the brand proposition and plans in assigned market Lead, train and motivate distributor and sales team with regular field works to achieve desired results and company objectives Manage trade relations and negotiate effective and efficient trading terms with all retailers including modern trade retailers, CVS, wholesalers and general trade customers Conduct regular business reviews on sales performance and trade business activities with distributor and key modern trade retailers Constantly evaluate ongoing sales promotion activities to support business growth and improve ROI by conducting pre and post-trade promotion analysis Lead, develop and implement strategies for effective merchandising and shelf management in trade and track local market intelligence in assigned markets Recommend and be involved in financial decisions Constantly identify and develop growth opportunities in all channels in assigned market Manage customer complaints and queries on company products The successful National Sales Manager has the ability to lead effectively articulate strategy to operational teams. More than 10 years’ experience in managing total Singapore business in the FMCG industry especially food categories with focus on key modern trade retailers Track record of successfully growing MT retail sales performance as well as delivering on budget and long-term strategy Experience in execution of route-to-market with specific focus on key account management model Strong distributor management experience Additional functional experience, preferably in marketing or trade marketing Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent analytical skills with high business acumen Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
