Financial Reporting and Tax Head

Job Description : FINANCIAL REPORTING AND TAX HEAD SINGPAORE Reporting to the SEA Financial Controller, this position will be responsible for delivering the day-to-day financial and tax reporting for SEA. Manage month-end closing with support from shared services, ensuring reporting is aligned with the Global Accounting Manual and local country’s GAAP rules Review and ensure that accruals/JVs put through for accuracy and completeness. Check for omissions/errors in invoices raised/JVs put through Maintain fixed asset register and provide support for tracking of new assets Review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure compliance with local GAAP and tax reporting purposes Manage intercompany invoicing and tax implications Collaborate with external auditors during annual financial statement audits Coordinate all direct tax and indirect tax computations, submissions and compliance Handle ad hoc projects, such as tax audits Provide guidance to team members on work procedures relating to the use of systems (SAP) and the resolution of work-related problems Discuss and liaise with businesses on accounting treatment for their business process/initiatives Communicate with multiple stakeholders across the firm and at all levels of the management structure To succeed in this role, you should ideally have Big 4 experience and hands-on financial reporting exposure in an MNC. A good degree in finance or accountancy Two to three years of Big 4 experience is ideal, with another 12+ years of work experience in a similar capacity Experience with professional services firms is a plus Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multitask and prioritise in a deadline-oriented environment Ability to work independently or part of a team Good working knowledge of IFRS and comfortable with direct and indirect tax rules Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
