Project Manager

Job Description : ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER OMAN FOR ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION PROJECT Degree in Electrical Engineering A senior member of the company having 15 years related experience in transmission and distribution, minimum of 10 years project management and control, including management and control of multidiscipline EPC contracts. Responsible for minimum of two major projects (>US$ 50 million). Role & responsibilities · Responsible for all activities at project. · Overall coordination and liaison with the Company, Subcontractors and Vendors. · Authorize the CQP thereby demonstrating its review for adequacy to fulfill project quality objectives and forward the same to the Company for approval. · Submit progress reports for the Company review at intervals as contractually agreed · Obtain Subcontractors / Vendor Procedures / Plans / Method Statements, where applicable and ensure approval of the same by the QA/QC Manager and forward the same to Company for approval. · Review and approve Contract Execution Plan (CEP) and submit to Company for approval. · Ensure that the Quality Policy of the Contractor is effectively implemented in the project. · Identify training needs and coordinate with appropriate function for fulfilling the training requirements as per the Contractors Human Resources Policies & Procedure Manual. · Coordinate with subordinate staff and execute the work as per planned schedules in conformance with applicable specification and CQP. · Ensure copies of CQP, Procedures, Work Instructions & QC Plans are available at the pertinent locations. · Continuously assess the actual progress of work against planned Program through Project Control Manager and inform the Contract Manager. · Liaise with Construction Managers and execute the work as per planned schedules in compliance with applicable specification and CQP. · Liaise with the Contract Manager for deployment of manpower, equipment and other resources as assessed by the Construction Managers. · Coordinate with the Company Site representative on day-to-day work. · Coordinate approval of Contractor purchased materials. · Coordinate with the Engineering Manager and ensure required design deliverables are available at site · Liaise with the Company on day-to-day matters related to the project and report the same to the Contract Manager. · Overall administration of the subcontractors / vendors employed at site. · Ensure all statutory permits are available at site prior to start of any activity.
