Chief Operating Officer 

Job Description : COO KENYA FOR FERTILIZER MANUFACTURING 20+ years expeeience leading fertilizer manufacturing and distribution company operating in east Africa. Job Description : - The Country head will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations in Kenya, including sales, marketing, distribution, logistics, and customer service. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong background in the fertilizer industry and a proven track record of successful business management. He will work as profit center head. Key Responsibilities : - Develop and implement a strategic plan for our operations in Kenya, in line with the company's overall objectives and goals. - Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the Kenyan agriculture sector, including farmers, distributors, and government agencies. - Lead the sales and marketing efforts in Kenya, including identifying new business opportunities and developing sales strategies to increase revenue. - Ensure that all distribution and logistics operations are efficient and effective, and meet the needs of our customers. - Creating and managing the Kenyan team, providing leadership, support, and guidance to ensure that they meet their targets and perform to the best of their ability. - Monitor market trends and competitor activity, and use this information to inform our strategy and decision-making. - Ensure that all operations in Kenya are conducted in compliance with local laws and regulations, and in line with our company's policies and standards. - Prepare regular reports on our operations in Kenya, including financial performance, sales targets, and market share. Desired Profile : - B.Sc / M.Sc (Agri) + MBA - 15-20 yrs. experience of which at least 10 years in the fertilizer industry, with a proven track record of successful business management. - Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. - Strong business acumen, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to grow the business. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. - Sound knowledge of the Kenyan agriculture sector, including market trends and regulatory environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. - Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in Swahili is desirable. - Willingness to travel frequently throughout the country. - Africa Experience desirable
