General Manager 

Job Description : GM OMAN FOR AUTO The General Manager plans, develops, implements, and manages strategic initiatives and projects to support overall customer retention, growth, and profitability. This job is also responsible to ensure the smooth running of routine operations. Job Responsibilities Manage the dealership in country, ensuring high quality business activities with maximum quality, service, and profitability for the business. Contribute to the development of the GMGT Strategy for growth and create plans to execute the strategy. Ensure that the team understands that business profits and achievements are reflected in all the operations and activities, including relationships and risk management. Consolidate and track the business development plan, including network development, customer intelligence and strategic long-term planning. Ensure communication and reports are kept up to date for all stakeholders both internally and externally. Analyse financial statements, operations reports, and other performance data to evaluate performance. Develop and implement strategies to increase operational efficiency and profitability. Manage and develop up to date presentations, reports, and dashboards, to communicate status and performance as well as position new initiatives and activities. Monitor, test and develop the standard operating procedures and policies for business improvement. Ensure that all marketing communications and artifacts are updated, to ensure coverage of products at all industry shows and marketing events. Analyse and implement policies and procedures, oversee short- and long-term business plans and initiatives and help in budgeting activities. Direct and coordinate the preparation of analyses and recommendations regarding policy issues and long-term plans to address business needs. Identify, articulate, and implement programs, and projects to meet business and customer needs. Direct the preparation of operating budgets and proposals for capital expenditure and investments in infrastructure, technology, equipment, systems, or other assets and resources for areas of accountability. Identify areas of improvement and ensures that these activities are completed on time, within budget and with minimal disruption to the day-to-day operations. Evaluate and develop the team with operational responsibilities to ensure that the business achieves it business objectives and complies with all relevant regulations and laws. Ensures that sales employees understand dealership policies, procedures, and sales systems. Provide solutions to issues (e.g., profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors). Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilize sound judgment in decision making. Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business. Work Experience Work Experience Minimum of 10+ year’s professional experience in a similar role including 5 years as the head of the function or in a similar position Experience in applicable segment of the Automotive Industry. Profit and Loss experience and strong financial acumen. Experience in maintaining the profitability of a department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction.
