Senior Financial Controller

Job Description : SENIOR FC UK A high growth carbon product manager are looking for a brand new Senior Financial Controller to be based in Jersey, Channel Islands. The role will join a small team and get full ownership of the end to end finances, whilst also offering insight and strategy to the BoD. The role will suit someone who comfortable with the grey and open to getting stuck in! There is no pre-requisite for experience in the industry, it’s all about attitude. The role is based in Jersey with flexible working from their offices! The Senior Financial Controller will be responsible for • collation of annual consolidated financial statements • internal financial control. • Work with international entities in the group to ensure consistency of reporting • financial reporting to management and the board of directors, as well as compliance with government regulations (specifically JFSC). • accounts payable and receivable, • liaison with outsourced human resources management • Preparing month-end reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements • Forecasting future financial performance and preparing and analysing budgets • Providing accurate ad hoc financial reports and analysis to management • Ensuring accuracy of financial statements and liaison with auditors (UK and overseas) • Qualified accountant > 12 years post qualification experience • Must be experienced in IFRS reporting and collation of year end financial statements • Aware of JFSC requirements • It is a smallish company so must have an easy going approach and good communication skills • ideally a financial services / commodity trading background.
