Job Description : FINANCE MANAGER UGANDA MBA-Finance/CA-Inter/ICWA with 8 to 12 yrs experience in Digital Banking/Mobile/Money/ telecommunications infrastructure Strong leadership and organizational skills. · Problem solving and decision-making skills. · Ability to strategize and solve problems. · An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers. · In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices. · Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods. · Able to multitask and meet deadlines. · High level of Integrity. · Developing financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; developing action plans · Monitors financial performance by measuring and analysing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances. · Reports financial status by developing forecasts; reporting results; analysing variances; developing improvements. · Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all purchases may pass independent and governmental audits. · Produce monthly management reporting for the whole company as required to support the business in operational and strategic decision making. · Ensure the timely collection of customer payments in collaboration with the Head of Credit. · Overall responsibility for managing and being a point of liaison with our suppliers and consultants. · Ensure creation & adherence to accounting policies, SOPs and design a strong internal control environment. · Prepare annual budgets and five-year business plans (and periodic re-forecasts) and monitor performance against these objectives. · Serve as a business partner for the operations and sales department. · Oversee the management of the companys non-operational physical assets and IT systems. · Manage key external relationships with auditors, BOT, tax advisers and other partners. · Ensure compliance for all Company tax matters, including those for the personnel, VAT, WHT and Income Tax. · Manage the procurement team and processes, including responsibility for the outsourced staff. · Comply with the provisions of the Bank of Tanzania and all governing bodies and comply with company policies and procedures. · Live companys core Principles and work proactively in a customer-related way in accordance with adopted procedures and best practices. · Work co-operatively with colleagues and external stakeholders to promote the companys overall business objectives. · Ensure that confidentiality is respected and always maintained. Work with HR to recruit, interview, select, hire and employ talented and diverse group of high performing team members. · Provide oversight and direction to team members in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures and procedures. Coach, mentor and develop team members, including overseeing new team member onboarding and providing career development, planning and growth opportunities. · Empower team members to take ownership of their job and goals. Delegate responsibilities as needed and provide routine constructive feedback on performance. · Create a culture that is consistent with the organizations focus on team member engagement and that aligns with the organizations mission, vision and values. · Lead team members using a performance management and development focused approach to assist in goal setting, two-way feedback, and performance development planning. · Lead team members to meet the organizations expectations for productivity, quality and goal accomplishment. · Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.
