Job Description : GM MAURITANIA 25+ years experience General Manager (French Speaking) Position Overview: The General Manager will assume full responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the oilfield services operations. This pivotal role involves developing and executing strategic plans to manage teams effectively, ensure operational excellence, and foster strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead and mentor diverse teams across various departments, providing guidance, motivation, and support to achieve exceptional performance and drive success. Operations Management: Oversee all oilfield services operations, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of projects, adhering to safety standards, and delivering high-quality services. Business Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to expand the company's market share and strengthen its position. Sales and Business Development: Drive sales efforts in the region, identifying growth opportunities, cultivating new clients, and nurturing existing partnerships to increase revenue and market share. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and expectations, and proactively addressing concerns to ensure client satisfaction and retention. Financial Performance: Assume responsibility for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, driving financial growth and profitability. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards, promoting a culture of safety and compliance across the organization. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics, using insights to inform business strategies. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is preferred. Proven track record of successful leadership experience in the oilfield services industry, with a focus on French-speaking regions. Fluency in French and English, with excellent communication skills in both languages. Strong understanding of oilfield services operations and business practices. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive results, and foster a collaborative work environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with a wide range of oilfield services, including drilling, completions, well testing, and production enhancement. Experience in negotiating contracts and managing large-scale projects in the oil and gas sector. Knowledge of local regulations and business practices specific to the oil and gas.
