Chief Accountant

Job Description : CHIEF ACCOUNTANT TANZANIA The Chief Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, billing, client statement submission, invoicing, accounts reconciliation, supplier reconciliation, BSP reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and other financial activities. · Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including billing, client statement submission, and invoicing processes. · Ensure timely and accurate submission of client statements and invoices to maintain smooth financial transactions. · Perform accounts reconciliation, supplier reconciliation, BSP reconciliation, and bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance. · Manage and maintain financial records and documentation in accordance with accounting standards and company policies. · Coordinate with various departments to gather financial information and provide support for decision-making. · Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. · Handle tax filings and ensure compliance with local tax regulations. · Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits. · Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets. · Post Graduate or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. · Proven work experience as a Chief Accountant or similar role in a well-known travel agency, with at least 10 years of relevant experience. · Extensive knowledge of day-to-day accounting processes, billing, invoicing, and reconciliation activities within the travel industry. · Familiarity with BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan) reconciliation is highly desirable. · Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. · Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. · Excellent communication and leadership abilities. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. · High level of integrity and professionalism.
