Finance Operations Head

Position Overview: We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned professional to assume the role of Head of Finance Operations for our Agri Business division. This strategic position will be headquartered in Dubai, UAE, and will report directly to the Group Chief Financial Officer. The Head of Finance Operations will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our financial operations, enhancing financial controls, and supporting strategic financial decision-making within the agri business division. Key Responsibilities: Financial Operations Oversight: Lead and manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies and regulations. Process Optimization: Evaluate and enhance financial processes and systems to drive efficiency, accuracy, and automation in financial operations. Financial Controls: Establish and monitor robust financial controls, procedures, and policies to safeguard company assets and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Budget Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, monitor, and manage divisional budgets, providing insights to support effective resource allocation. Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, management reports, and performance analyses for decision-making purposes. Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, working closely with relevant teams to implement effective risk management measures. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow projections and manage working capital to optimize liquidity while supporting operational needs. Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the finance operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance and address financial inquiries. Advisory Role: Support the Group Chief Financial Officer in strategic financial planning, mergers and acquisitions, and other financial initiatives. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is advantageous. A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance operations, with a proven track record of leading and managing financial teams within a multinational corporation. Strong understanding of financial processes, systems, and controls, preferably within the agri-commodity sector. Experience working in Africa is highly desirable. Proficiency in using financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office suite. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a keen attention to detail. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners. Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial operations.
