Finance and Compliance Director 

Job Description : FINANCE AND COMPLIANCE DIRECTOR UK Must be eligible for UK visa The role of Finance & Compliance Director is a high-level position with significant responsibilities within the Group Central Services. Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, this role involves working closely with the Managing Director. The key objectives are to ensure financial compliance in the insurance business, manage the finance function to achieve excellence, and explore new financial services business opportunities for the division. In the finance-related aspect of the role, the Finance & Compliance Director is responsible for maintaining a robust financial control environment, budgeting, providing management information to monitor business progress, and analysing trends and KPIs to support key decision-making. They also manage external relationships, handle statutory and regulatory audits, and ensure adherence to accounting standards and group guidelines. On the compliance front, the director oversees the financial compliance of the FCA regulated businesses, maintains authorisation and liaises with the FCA on regulatory matters, conducts compliance assurance reviews, and implements policy changes. They also handle internal compliance assessments, training, and competency testing, manage third-party lender requirements, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and compliance matters. You will possess a strong academic background with recognised accounting qualifications (preferably ACA). Experience in a regulated/FCA environment, managing compliance frameworks, and strengthening processes is crucial. You should have a broad finance background, including financial control, reporting, and planning, along with excellent IT skills. Personal qualities such as attention to detail, commercial acumen, analytical skills, diplomacy, and leadership abilities are highly valued.
