Job Description : Head Accounts - Manufacturing Exp: 15-20 yrs Qualification: CA Location: UAE Preferred people from Manufacturing background. Preferred candidate profile To oversee the management of accounts, ensuring their maintenance and finalization, while also instituting robust internal financial controls. Acting as the pivotal control point for the Business Unit, to diligently safeguards its assets, guarantee expenditures adhere to budgetary constraints, and quickly reports any discrepancies. To have a knack for refining operational procedures and formulating cost-efficient strategies to bolster accounting and financial functions Role & responsibilities 1. Ensure the proper accounting of Derivative and Hedging activities, in line with IFRS. 2. Leading the reconciliations for both Vendors and Customers. 3. Manage the verification of physical counts of Inventories & Finished Products. 4. Engage in crafting the Annual Budget and laying out a 10-Year Business Plan for the Petrochemical and Fertilizer sectors. 5. Oversee the Tax compliance, including deductions, payments, and returns related to Income Tax, VAT, and WHT. 6. Engage in the preparation of both Standalone & Consolidated Financial Statements according to IFRS, presented in the functional currency. 7. Support the Corporate office in the Group consolidation and various other financial reports. 8. Taking charge of Revenue recognition (AR) and determining the value of Inventories, whether they are Raw Material, WIP, or Finished Goods. 9. Play a role in maintaining a thorough Fixed Asset Register. 10. Calculation of Dividend distributions for Shareholders. 11. Handle the preparation of Monthly accounts, MIS, and project cash flows. 12. Coordination of both Annual and Quarterly Audits and Reviews in partnership with Big 4 Auditors. 13. Verification of vendor invoices and ensuring timely payments according to PO/WO terms (AP). 14. Implementation of process enhancements and automation within financial and accounting operations. 15. Leading the Accounts team with an emphasis on staff development, engagement, and performance.
