Job Description : GM DISTRIBUTION ( TSF) SINGAPORE This is a newly created position for a General Manager - Distribution to be based out of Singapore Corporate Office. The role of the candidate is to develop an investor base in the Asiat and Africa to buy Trade and Non-Trade finance assets generated / Co-ordinated globally by the TSF team. Trade finance assests includes lending, the issuance of letters of credit, factoring, export credit and insurance. Companies involved with trade finance include importers and exporters, banks and financiers, insurers and export credit agencies, and service providers. It will include identification of target investors, on boarding of Olam, negotiation of documentation, interaction with various TSF stakeholders globally, close transactions, work closely with execution teams to assure seamless settlement of transactions. Key Deliverables This role will jointly report to the TSF Regional Head - Asia, Middle East and Africa and TSF Regional Head - Americas The responsibilities would include but not be limited to: • Develop relationship with investors in the region in order to sell global trade and non-trade finance assets held in TSF’s global book. The candidate will prepare target list of investors, actively call on them and take care of post sales. Commercial banks, Hedge funds, Trade Finance funds, Investment banks, Insurance companies are some of the investor basis. • Work with potential investors to present Olam Group and Olam Trade and Structured Finance BU. • Responsible for the on boarding of investors into Olam and vice-versa. • Negotiation of all necessary documentation to be able to sell and settle assets to investors. • Coordinate with the various groups in TSF (Origination, Structuring, Trade Execution, Tax, Legal among others) in order to achieve its objectives. • Bring in new structures and market intelligence learnt from investors to be able to drive origination opportunities are some of the expected responsibilities of this position • Interaction/coordination with Distributors colleagues based in other regions to exchange information is a must. • Attend external events and workshops is expected • Sell insured transactions and all the complexities associated with it • Keep impeccable data base control of investors information, appetite, activities Requirements • Postgraduate in business, international relations, legal, communication areas are desirable • Experience at top-tier firms and large commodity trading companies with global presence is certainly a benefit for this candidate • Excellent Relationship with Financial Institutions, institutional investors, Trade Finance funds, Investment banks, Insurance companies and such other investors. • Prior experience and expertise of structured trade finance transactions. The candidate must have extensive experience dealing with documentation related to Prepayment of Exports, Letters of Credit , Account Receivables Purchase and Sales Agreements, Funded and Unfunded Participation Agreements, Credit Risk Insurance contracts among others • Funded Participation Agreements, Account Receivable Purchase Agreements, Risk Participation Agreements, Master Participation Agreements, Forfaiting Agreement are some of the documentation the candidate need to have prior exposure and vast experience with. • Ability to deal with a large volume of complex issues simultaneously, working with deadlines under pressure (TSF is a global business and timing is critical); • Ability to provide advice to senior management on market practices and regulatory issues; • Maturity to handle sensitive issues; • Excellent relationship management inside and outside of the company;
