Finance Head

Job Description : Head of Finance 30k - 40k AED Dubai Reporting to the CEO and with a dotted line to the Group CIO you will be responsible for the following duties; - Manage and control the Company’s finance department. - Ensure that the Company’s transactions are recorded timely and accurately in the accounting system on a daily basis. - Ensure that the Company’s assets are protected by applying industry acceptable risk management procedures. - Draw the Managing Partner’s and Group CFO’s attention to any potential risks. - Ensure that payments and receipts are in line with Company’s policies and procedures. - Provide the Company’s management team with financial reports and be a “business partner” to the various managers and executives. - Coordinate with other department, banks, external auditors, suppliers and customers as required. -Constantly review internal control procedures and recommend improvements. As well as employing the necessary protocol for IFRS standards and overall financial stewardship of the Company you will be responsible for the management of the junior accounting team. You will also be working as a Finance Business Partner to the CEO as well as the Group CIO and responsible for supporting an aggressive expansion strategy into new territories across the GCC. Previous experience of working in an import and export business of perishable food products is a must as well as understanding of the local GCC laws, rules and regulations surrounding food distribution, excise duties. Ideally ACA, CPA, ACCA qualified accountants and Arabic speakers are required. MBA qualified people are also welcome to apply.
