Job Description : COUNTRY HEAD, OFFSHORE SHIPPING AGENCY OUT OF MUMBAI Age: 40 to 45 years Qualification: Any Graduate. MBA (Marketing/Operations), or PG Diploma in Shipping/Port is desirable, though not essentialExperience: 20 to 25 years in Offshore Vessels Agency (Offshore Support Services) Experience Profile: · 20 to 25 years experience in Managing Operations and/or Business Development in Offshore Vessel Agency companies providing Offshore Agency & Support Services to the Oil & Gas sector - including sizeable experience in Leadership role, heading a well-sized company or business division in this line of business. · Strong background in Operations Offshore Support Services to the Oil & Gas sector is important; and the candidate should have flair for marketing/business development; and in dealing with business prospects, customers, principals, and government authorities at Naval, Defence, Home Ministry, Customs, etc. · Experience in overseeing Offshore Vessel Operations across multiple sites across India; with good knowledge of Customs Rules and network of contacts and good professional relationship with the government authorities and Oil & Gas/ Offshore Services business community is highly desired. Remuneration: Good remuneration in line with industry standards, though not a constraint for a high achiever. Candidate Profile: 1. Candidate with some prior background as Indian Navy Officer or Merchant Navy Officer would be preferred, though candidates from entire corporate sector experience would also be considered. 2. Should have good knowledge of the Market for Offshore Vessel Agency Services, Offshore Marine Support Services, and the Oil & Gas Industry 3. Should have good network of contracts and relationships with leading corporates, ship-owners, charters, etc. for business development in Oil & Gas sector including Oil & Gas companies; Exploration & Production (E&P) companies; EPC/ Construction companies; Drilling companies; Surveyors; and Specialized Oil & Gas Shipping companies, etc. 4. Good knowledge and relations with vendors for the Marine logistics, support services, and supplies, etc. 5. Should be well versed in: Offshore Shipping Agency Operation/ Offshore Vessel Operations, and Offshore Marine Support Services. 6. Should have good knowledge of: a. Custom Laws/ Practices/ Rules & Regulations for Offshore Vessel, Crew, Equipment, and Supplies, etc. including IGM/EGM Manifestos, etc. b. Rules and procedures for applying & obtaining various permissions from Naval & Defence authorities, Home Ministry, etc. c. Port Health (PHO)/ Immigration Regulation and their Customary Practices for Crew, for the day to day working, etc. 7. Good communication and people skill, tact, and right approach for interacting and dealing with concerned Govt. Officials/ Clients/ Corporates/ Master/ Principals, and all concerned; and reporting to Principals/ Clients, and all concerned in daily working 8. Leadership, Interpersonal skills, Team spirit for leading, motivating, and controlling the staff. 9. Should have a positive mind-set to be ready to face and resolve the critical situations, with satisfactory outcome. Job Responsibilities: 1. Overview: Leading & Managing Overall Business of the Offshore Shipping Agency Division including Business Strategy, Business Development/ Sales & Marketing, as well as Operations of the Offshore-Shipping Agency Services, on Pan-India basis, i.e.: · Overall Business Leadership & Providing Strategic Direction · Business Development & Marketing; and Brand building · Overseeing Operations Offshore Vessel Agency Services · Customs & Documentation Support · Govt. & Ministerial Liaison & Coordination for the Required Permissions for the Offshore Vessels from the Home Ministry/ Naval & Defence/ Immigration authorities · Managing Client Relationship, Customer Service and Co-ordination · Coordination with Principals, Vessel Owners/ Charterers, Service providers. · Vendor Management · Statutory Compliance with Customs, Immigration, Port Health & Marine/Port Regulations, Income Tax (IT), etc. · Cost Control & Profitability Improvement · MIS and Reporting · Office Administration · Lead, guide and motivate Teams in Offshore Vessels Agency Services Pan-India 2. Business Development -Offshore Shipping/Vessels Agency Services · Grow companys business, and market share in Offshore Vessels Agency Services · Strategize; do proper market survey and mapping of the market; and identify high potential prospects · Build effective network of contacts and relationship with business prospects; and promote companys brand as a leading provider of Offshore Shipping Agency Services & Allied Offshore Support Services among the Oil & Gas companies; Exploration & Production (E&P) companies; EPC/ Construction companies; Drilling companies; Surveyors; and Specialized Oil & Gas Shipping companies etc. · Meeting and making presentation to prospective customers for new business. · Acquire New Clients in Oil & Gas, Offshore segments for the companys Offshore Agency Services Division · Enhance customer satisfaction - Provide excellent Customer Service and Solutions to the customers with on time and efficient delivery of services; speedier resolution of issues and quick response to customers. · Regularly meet, strengthen relationship; and eexpand business by proactive engagement with them - leveraging relationship & superior services. · Building effective Relationship with esteemed clients and all stakeholders 3. Managing Offshore Vessel Operations: Overall Supervision & Management of Offshore Shipping Agency/Offshore Support Services, including: · Planning, Organizing & Monitoring Offshore Vessels Operations: · Coordinating with principals, Captain, Officials, Client and management for all crew matters and vessel works. · Coordinating with charterers for offshore vessel movements for berthing/ un-berthing and chopper crew changes. · Coordinating with other branches where ever required for crew change and material movements. · Preparation and submission of Naval Security Clearance(NSC) documentation with ODAG · Preparation of documentation Importation and Re-Export of vessels and its consumable spares. · Boarding formalities for Coastal Conversion and foreign run reversion of vessels. · Coordinating with Master/Owners for pre arrival documentation to file IGE/EGM with customs · Boarding formalities with authorities for necessary clearance for Import/Export Cargo Vessels. · Liaising with Customs, Port, Immigration, Naval, Port Health, MMD, Income Tax, and other Government Officials. · Attending vessel Entry and Clearance formalities with port and customs. · Obtaining material permissions and clear with concerned authorities. · Arranging port and customs permissions to clear the technician & Surveyors. · Attending FRRO Registration formalities for offshore working crew. · Updating VPR vessel tracking position · Attending Berthing meeting and updating Line Up Positions · Giving regular updates to principal · Monitoring all Offshore and transport activities · Invoices submission to principals and follow up of payment · Handling Sign on/off documentation and crew changing arrangement and baggage clearances and Immigration clearance and travel permissions.
