Job Description : The incumbent is responsible for driving the financial success of the company's international, digital-focused recycling trading and collection business. The CFO will balance traditional financial management responsibilities with innovative strategies tailored to our digital ecosystem and cross-border operations. Also, will be responsible for guiding financial decision-making, overseeing risk management, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering stakeholder relationships. The incumbent’s purpose is to maximize the company's financial performance and strategic position, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability in a rapidly evolving market.. Responsibilities Digital Financial Strategy: Develop and implement a dynamic financial strategy that reflects the digital, scalable nature of the company. This includes understanding key metrics for digital platforms and using these to drive business decisions. Cross-Border Trade Financial Management: Oversee and navigate the complex financial aspects of international trade, such as import/export regulations, tariffs, customs duties, and foreign exchange considerations. Economic Modelling and Forecasting: Create comprehensive financial models that capture the unique aspects of the digital recycling market. Use these models to generate accurate financial forecasts that help guide the company's strategic planning. Financial Reporting and Data Analysis: Establish a robust, real-time financial reporting system, leveraging data analytics and predictive modelling to track financial performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making. Fundraising and Investment Strategy: Design and execute a fundraising and investment strategy that aligns with the specific opportunities and challenges in the digital and recycling sectors. This includes seeking out investors interested in sustainability and digital innovation. Risk Management: Design and implement comprehensive risk management strategies that consider the unique risks related to digital commerce, cross-border trading, and the recycling industry, including market risks, regulatory risks, and cybersecurity risks. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with all local and international financial regulations, with a focus on regulations relating to digital transactions, cross-border trade, and environmental standards. This includes working closely with legal teams to understand new regulations and their impact on the business. Supply Chain Financial Management: Oversee the financial management of the supply chain, optimizing costs and efficiency while maintaining a high standard of service for customers. Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement a robust pricing strategy for both trading and delivery services, ensuring competitiveness while optimizing profitability. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with various stakeholders, including investors, board members, employees, platform users, and regulatory bodies, regarding the company's financial performance and strategy. Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a high-performing, diverse finance team spread across different geographical locations, fostering a culture of transparency, agility, and continuous learning. Sustainability Initiatives: Drive the financial planning and management of sustainability initiatives, balancing profitability with the company's environmental commitments. Strategic Partnerships: Identify and negotiate strategic financial partnerships that can enhance the company's market position, profitability, and sustainability. Cost Control: Develop and implement strategies for cost control, efficiency, and waste reduction across the company's operations. Technology Investments: Oversee the financial aspects of technology investments to enhance the digital platform, improve customer experience, and streamline operations. Experience & Qualification • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field is required; an MBA or related advanced degree is preferred. • CIMA/ACA/ACCA or CIPFA qualification • A minimum of 15 years' experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a significant portion of this within a digital commerce, international trading, or recycling/environmental sector. • Minimum of 5+ operated as a Finance Director • Proven experience in managing complex international financial operations, including experience with laws and regulations related to cross-border trade. • Demonstrated success in financial modelling, data analysis, and strategic decision making within a digital trading context. • Experience with investment fundraising and creating compelling financial narratives for potential investors. • Experience in leading and managing diverse teams across different geographic locations. Knowledge & Skills • Comprehensive knowledge of financial laws and regulations in the UAE, KSA, India, Singapore, but not limited to, particularly those relating to digital transactions, international trade, and environmental standards. • Solid understanding of financial aspects of digital platforms and e-commerce, including revenue models, cost structures, and key metrics. • Knowledge of the financial and operational aspects of supply chain management, particularly in the context of international trade. • Familiarity with the unique aspects and trends of the recycling industry, and an understanding of its impact on financial management and strategy. • Highly commercial with regard to optimizing sales, minimizing costs and balancing risks. • Demonstrable success building and developing finance functions. • Successful implementation of an ERP system (SAP desirable) • Successful track record in M&A • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound strategic decisions based on data. • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to a variety of audiences. • Negotiation skills for establishing strategic partnerships and securing investments. • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic s is a plus. • Resilience and agility in navigating the fast-paced, ever-changing landscape of digital commerce and international trade. • Accountancy qualification from internationally recognized body 4) MEP PROJECT DIRECTOR UAE The incumbent is responsible for driving the financial success of the company's international, digital-focused recycling trading and collection business.
