Job Description : HEAD OF INTERNAL AUDIT AUSTRALIA Guiding Management and the Finance and Audit Committee of the Board in it's management and control of Internal Audit through regular reviews and reports. • Leading the development and implementation of an internal risk-based audit strategy and annual work plan for the business. • Planning and undertaking reviews to assess risks, compliance with internal controls, operational and technical efficiencies and compliance with selected policies, procedures and regulations, to ensure the financial reliability and timeliness of information produced. • Recommending and driving operational improvements throughout the organisation to improve overall efficiencies and enhance internal controls. • Reviewing the process of identification, assessment and management of enterprise risks. • Reviewing and advising on change management projects to ensure amendments to processes, policies and procedures are considered / implemented with appropriate regard to the control and risk appetite. • Presenting reports to the Finance and Audit Committee and key members of the Company to ensure that appropriate Internal Audit findings and recommendations can be implemented and comply with regulations and policies. • Researching the latest trends and issues in the industry and determining the scope of the internal audit function accordingly. You are technically sharp, CA qualified from within a 'top tier' Chartered firm (current or past). This opportunity would suit someone who is ultimately looking to lead in a No.1 role. Previous experience of Internal Audit experience within an ASX listed business or within Private Equity portfolio company that has gone through change or transformation would be viewed favourably. Flexibility to travel interstate every 6-8 weeks is important. The Board is open to engage someone on a full time or flexible working week basis. While a specific industry background is not required, you will have considerable experience working within complex organisations and be a naturally curious individual who can liaise effectively at an Executive and Board level.
