Finance Manager

Job Description : FINANCE MANAGER NIGERIA seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of our Nigeria plantations. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient financial management and strategic decision-making of our plantations. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various teams. Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the goals of the plantations. Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models to guide decision-making. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management. Reporting and Compliance: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and management information for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards. Cost Control and Optimization: Monitor and manage operational costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Collaborate with operational teams to implement cost-effective measures without compromising quality. Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, ensuring availability of funds for daily operations, investments, and capital projects. Forecast cash flow requirements and implement strategies to optimize cash resources. Risk Management: Identify financial risks and recommend strategies to mitigate them. Develop and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial records. Financial Projects and Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial projects, such as capital investments, acquisitions, and business expansion. Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making for new initiatives. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and guide a team of finance professionals, fostering their growth and development. Create a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages high performance and continuous improvement. Relationship Management: Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and resolve financial queries. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration. Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends. Comfortable interacting with all levels of management in multiple areas. Strong knowledge of financial reporting. Ability to review data and make relevant management decisions. Strong financial system and business administration understanding. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred. Proven experience 10 years in finance management or a related role, ideally within the agricultural or plantation sector. In-depth knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards.
