Job Description : HEAD OF CORPORATE PLANNING AND STRATEGY MALAYSIA In this role, you will work closely with the Group Chiefs to ensure that the strategic plan is aligned with the bank's overall objectives. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development of the bank's strategic plan that involves understanding the bank's current situation, identifying its strengths and weaknesses, and developing plans for its future Identify the resources and activities that will be needed to achieve the goals, and develop a timeline and budget for the implementation of the plan Implement change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new strategic initiatives across the organisation Collect data on the bank's performance, comparing it to the goals set out in the strategic plan, and identifying any areas where there are gaps Manage the management scorecard, the corporate scorecard and report them to the relevant authority and stakeholders Prepare, monitor and update the corporate budget and the national budget proposal. Communicate the bank's strategy and goals to these stakeholders, and to answer their questions and concerns Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for improvement To succeed in this role, you are required to possess experience in leading a strategy and corporate planning team specifically from banks and financial institutions. Key Requirements: Master's degree in business administration, economics, finance, or related field Proven experience (10 years or more) in strategic planning, strategy development, and execution, preferably within a development bank or financial institution Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex situations and devise effective strategies Knowledge of the banking and finance industry, including regulatory frameworks is an added advantage Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement and presentation Proficiency in using strategic planning tools and software The financial institution has a very strong work culture that promotes internal mobility.
